Toronto Maple Leafs
Late last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League unveiled a new logo to be used starting in the 2016-2017 season. This new primary mark will be used as the jersey crest on their soon-to-be-unveiled uniforms – set to be revealed in June.
The Maple Leafs will continue its utilization of the shade of Blue they’ve used since the 1987-1988 season – a darker-than-Royal / lighter-than-Navy color that is so prevalent in the NHL these days. In fact, the Edmonton Oilers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Vancouver Canucks (and the Western Conference logos) all incorporate this color into their respective current primary color palettes.
